Purple Music Miami Sampler 2009

Turned out that Purple Music Miami Sampler was available during few days only. Now that I have found sound previews available I’m gonna do a quick overview of this sampler. After all it’s interesting how one of the greatest house label’s sound evolve. So what do we have here:

• so jazzy and so melodic in their earlier times and now so clubby Japanese duo Studio Apartment together with Mr. V with banger “I Want U 2 Move”;
• Jamie Lewis himself teamed up with Kim Cooper bringing his next current-style-template “Mo Butter” – not bad though, have tried it in da club already;
• long awaited new sound from Roberto De Carlo in his “You Are The One For Me” with vox of Colin Corvez, known for Rob’s “Ready?” and “It’s All On You”;
• fancy disco oldschool’ish “84 King Street” from Christian Hornbostel & Alfred Azzetto – nice one;
• collaboration of Justin Michael and Born to Funk – “Change Is On The Way” – groovy groovy funky funky;
• downtempo soul “Music of Life” – Jamie Lewis Remix for Cerrone;
• already released Jamie Lewis Sex on the Beach mix for JL’s “Tattoo Woman”.

All these are definitely future releases on Purple, and sooner or later we will hear them all.
