Sometimes it’s so wonderful to run across a small label with an outstanding release and discover a new name. Chicago based music producer Uncle Milty and his Whitebeard Records is the current example. New release numbered 5 will be out on February 3rd (consider that first releases are dated 2000). “The Ode to Lillian” is the groovy deep soulful thing with warm melodious keys and… violin as the main theme! Beautiful!

Massive grooving thing from US located Devotion label comes on February 3rd: Ruben Mancias teamed up with no other than superdiva Michelle Weeks for “My Change (Is Gonna Come)“. Devotion mixes have very appealing pumping feelings, Groove Junkies did their best and brought the classic soulfulest approach (isn’t that a sign?!) and DJ Dealer also on the remix duties here. And yeah, let us all wish Michelle to get well soon, ‘cos she’s in the hospital right now.

London based producer John Oudo continues to support his own label Bigspin Music with new release “Work Me Over“. Will be out on February 1st with Main and Afro Jam versions. Featuring Junior, Adeola Ranson and Ann Browne on the vocals, British soulful on its bestб already gained big support and successfully climbed on Traxsource’ tops.

By the way speaking of Micky More, do not miss his remix for New Jersey soul songstress Angela Johnson, “Better“. As you might already spotted it in 86th Summer Fondue, it’s a nicely done 123 bpm house version, with live instruments again and worthy soulful vocals. It was out in December 2009 exclusively in iTunes Store. Another MM’s news is that Micky’s doing a remix for Groove Junkies’ “Far Away” that will be out soon on MoreHouse. Looks like they’re swapping remixes.

Here’s a small bonus for my podcast subscribers. I’m putting out the guestmix I recorded for Funky Hour Radioshow by our local Russian DJ Euphorique, it was aired in January. Italian producer Micky More is the name that produce not very often, but do it a very superb way. Last year he launched his own label Street of Soul and dropped “Zero Gravity” as a debut back in July 2008. But finally he will be back with another jazzy masterly instrumented track entitled “A Touch Of Jazz“. Planned to be released on March 5th, the package includes Classic Mix, Organ Dub and Piano Deluxe from Micky himself as well as mixes from Groove Junkies, Scott Wozniak, Andy & Dave and Alex Dimitri. As usual, we know it’s all about original mixes.
