On October 1st, Purple Music surprised us with a momentous tribute to MJ, “Billie Jean” produced by Spain-France crew of Rocco & Danny Marquez, with vocals by Ricky Galliano. Among numerous bootlegs coming out these days it’s nice to have something officially released. Mixes include Original Bootleg Mix, deeper Rocco Deep Mix and more clubbish DJ Fudge & Danny Marquez Mix (met good reactions on our Soul Color parties).

Another soul classic from 1980s gets treatment by house masters. Glenn Jones’ “Show Me” was re-worked by Degrees Of Motion and vocalized by Billy Porter. The man behind Degrees Of Motion is Richie Jones who is responsible for loads dance music productions including Jennifer Lopez’ “Waiting For Tonight”. read more »

Started in 2007, DJ and producer from Paris, Thomas Toccafondi is another newcomer with a few releases for Soulheat, Gordon & Cardell, Soundmen on Wax and Sofitone and remixes for on Unified, Open Bar, Tricircle and Feljai. Released on December 29th, his new “I’ve Changed” has no other than Spain’s own Kaysee on the vocals, and signed to Earnshaw’s Duffnote! read more »
