Last Friday on October 15th I played a two hours classic soulful house set (mostly with good old tunes) in Moscow Vision Bar taking part in a video live series hosted by one of our local Russian club scene web sites NightParty.ru. There was a chat room during the set where we had a sweet conversations as well. Usually, extremely awesome track means it probably is a cover version of good oldie. Another example of that, “For The Love Of You“, originally by Isley Brothers in 1975 and now covered by D’Moov (aka Doruk Ozlen and Mark Walker) featuring vocals by Nicole Henry, first appeared on The Nature Of House EP on Foliage Records in November 2009. On April 1st 2010, it’s coming out as a single with remixes from Frankie Feliciano and David Harness, and that fantastic sensual main mix from Doruk Ozlen (this one is one of my favourite chilled house tunes). Foliage Records is a young label founded in 2008 and over the past two years they had several good releases from big names such as David Harness, Soul Creation, Distant People.

Moscow band Venger Collective did an official video of their “9 o’clock” that was released in August 2009 on SOUNDMEN On WAX:

UK label Playmore (perhaps the best remembered for last years DJ Meme’s “Chanson Du Soleil“) established in 2007 and run by Dave ‘RedSoul’ Wareing has grown to 22nd release by March 26th. “Love Is A Miracle” from label’s head Redsoul with gifted US vocalist, songwriter and live performer RaShaan Houston is built around a riff from Vincent Montana’s classic “It Looks Like Love“, but has its own life. Main mix is accompanied with Reprise.
