Here’s a small bonus for my podcast subscribers. I’m putting out the guestmix I recorded for Funky Hour Radioshow by our local Russian DJ Euphorique, it was aired in January. This one hour mix is kinda funky one, even with a bit of jackin’ flava in the peak (and some Russian IDs LOL), but still soulful. Italian label Just4Funk running by Andrea Carissimi is back with the third release (check previous two: 2008’s “Lose My Mind” and July’s and already in my Top-2009 “Power In You“). Once again with Andrea’s powerful funk driven outburst and boisterous vocals of Brent St. Clair, “Straight Up” continues to glorify distinctive Italian approach. Completed with Andrea’s Funk Dub and Instrumental, it’s out on December 24th. Have a look on small promo video below.

I would really consider South African Shane D as one of The 2009 House Discovery. Another great production from him came on December 1st on Look At You: so funky cover for 1982 Odyssey’s “Inside Out” featuring lovely Donna Hidalgo. Supplemented with Lucius Lowe and Anthony Weeling mixes, it is all traditionally about Classic Main Mix and D’s Refunked Dub.
