Spain based ‘retro-futuristic’ (as they called themselves) Xtrasolar Records delivered its second release on April 3rd: a groovy funk & disco flavored cover for George Duke’s classic, “Brazilian Love Affair“, made by Spain’s Soulfeenix together with now NYC’s american-japanese songstress Monday Michiru.

Soulfeenix uses retro analogue gears and plays electrosoul, house, broken funk and nujazz. That’s why this track is not that software-synths-template-house but rather feels retrogood. 🙂

What an excellent groove this track has. Real spring vibe. While I’m not particularly a fan of the sax version, the original version is a fantastic track which I’ll surely play alot this spring. Also, great to hear Monday Michiru again!
