DJ Soulmate

DJ Soulmate DJ Artem Soulmate was one of Russia’s soulful house heads back in the days. Starting in 2006 by launching the SoulfulHouse.ru website, he quickly got himself into DJing in Moscow venues.

The Summer Fondue Sessions Radioshow was launched later in 2006. Premiering at the UK-based online house station SSRadio, the bi-weekly 2-hour slot featured a captivating mix of deep, jazzy, soulful, and funky tunes. The show’s popularity soared, leading to its extension in 2008 and syndication on FM stations and numerous online platforms globally. By 2010, DJ Pasha Brisk joined as a co-host, adding a dynamic flair to the broadcast.

Soulmate was the resident DJ at several Moscow venues over the years, including the legendary Propaganda (2007–2008), and he played at numerous events across the city. His influence extended beyond Moscow, with tours to Russian cities and a few international destinations. He also performed as the official DJ at Martini Terrazza during the Kinotavr Film Festival in Sochi (2009).

“Soul Color”, a pioneering Moscow soulful house project, showcased Soulmate’s collaborative spirit: as the resident DJ, he co-organized Moscow tours and performed alongside international talents like Richard Earnshaw, DJ Meme, Central Avenue, Roberto De Carlo, Soulmagic, and others.

Although the Summer Fondue Sessions came to an end in January 2015, Soulmate’s passion for music persisted. Currently based in Germany, he continues to DJ as a hobby.

In late 2023, a decision was made to revive the SFS initiative. The full show’s archive is now hosted on SoundCloud together with other mixtapes from Soulmate.
