Originally on Jihad’s Movement Soul in 2006, “No More War” was a hot topic tune about today’s world by New-Jersey’s himself Jihad Muhammad featuring talented vocalist Chris Dockins. The Reprise from that package is still on of my favorites cuts to start from. Now UK based Camio Recordings did a great job remixing it with help of Man-X, Dolls Combers, Dom Navarra, Groove Assassin, Seedadiandeep and Deep Inc. – what a list!

Another transglobal collaboration here: “Come To Life” by San Francisco based Vincent Kwok together with Australian Sydney’s Yogi and Husky, aka Random Soul – looks like the receipt of uber-cool soulful funky stuff. But. Besides dreary mixes from Kwok, Julius Papp and Australia’s Ben Jam, I would highlight New Mondo Classic Soul Mix made by New Mondo’s one half DJ MFR, and of course studious mixes from Yogi & Husky themselves. Released on Vincent’s label Eight Fifteen on November 19th.

Run by DJ and remixer from Minnesota with over 20 years of music industry experience, Thomas Spiegel aka DJ Man-X, this label is a home for such talented artists as Blvd East, Reelsoul, Scott Wozniak and vocalists as Stephanie Renee, Rita Quintero, K.T. Brooks (R.I.P.). It’s also in my heart after 2006′s Rita Quintero’s “Quiero Saber” and Jenny Morrison’s “Brand New Life”. In recent days Deep Haven seems highly productive.

Legendary DJ Spinna’s owns small label Wonderwax that is a slow-motion outfit releasing sparse gems from Spinna and his friends (such as Lady Alama, Selan, The Free Radikalz…) starting 2003. More Japanese invasion with good house. Flower Records was established in 1995 by brothers Eitetsu and Kitetsu Takamiya, and is centered around dance music from domestic Japanese artists. One of them, Japan’s young upcoming producer Kentaro Takizawa has its second album, “Heart to Heart”, released in 2007. Taken from it, two great tracks is now available on vinyl and in digital.
