Sometimes producers don’t wanna release under their usual names for one reason or another, or use vocalist name as a co-writer of a track. This happened to one of the recent Barcoda releases: numbered 26, “Capture” is authored by Emanuelle. In fact, this wonderful, very light, shiny track with French vocal was produced by Italian producer Donato Losito aka Double Dee (worked with Mario Biondi, released for IRMA Records, and is a part of B.A.D Connection project – they’re releasing “Be Thankful” from Purple Music now) and French vocalist and DJ (I guess) Manuela Driusso aka Emanuelle. read more »

Dutchican Soul is a duo from Amsterdam, consisting of Jasper ‘Drexmeister’ Drexhage and Niels Schroder. Miguel Migs was playing their hot tune for almost a year, and on October 20th “Get On Down” is finally released on his label Salted Music. With huge support from all the industry names, with some 90′s Throwback, Unreleased and Vocal Rub mixes, this chune is on fire and already rocking our local floors.

South Africa is believed to be the best place on Earth for soulful house heads. One of the local heroes, Durban based DJ, producer and remixer Shane D is on scene since 1993. Debuted with “La Musica” on 2Delicious in 2008, he also has won Soul Candi Remix Competition with his remix of Ananda Project’s “Let Love Fly“, had releases on labels like Soulfuric, remixed John Julius Knight, Roland Clark, Luis Radio & Raffa, and already has coming tracks signed with Look At You Records as well as Soulmagic (both to be reviewed very soon). Being just 30 years old, Polish producer DJ Aphreme grew up on soul, disco and funk (as most of soulful producers did) and came to djing in 1998, soon moved to production deep soulful sounds. Since then, he produced and released on Next Dimension, Feljai, Music Plan, Consortium Muzik, Unified, Cabana etc. working with lots of vocalists. On September 1st, he debuted on his own new label Octave Moods with “My House“, dreamy deep affair featuring vox of D’Layna.
